Bullet journals, beautifully described by bulletjournal.com as “the analog system for the digital age”, are quickly gaining popularity among a wide age group of planner enthusiasts. Bullet journals are versatile, fun and above all a calming process that encourages creativity and mindfulness. But in the hustle and bustle of today, some find it hard to dedicate time to this beautiful art. In a survey of 493 women between the ages of 15 and 55, a large majority stated that the biggest drawback of bullet journals was that it was a time consuming activity, with over 95% of the respondents stating that they would be interested in trying out a digital bullet journal app.
The responses from this survey were used to guide the UI/UX design of the digital prototype and mimic the user interaction journey of a traditional bullet journal user.
